• Publication Date: 11^th of listed Month.
• Submission Date: 28^th of the month before the month you are applying to. (i.e., If you are applying to April, your submission is due in March.)

Submission Guidelines:

• Word Count:
  • 5k to 8k (Wiggle Room Allowed.)
  • Author responsible for professional editing.
• Style:
  • A Complete Mystery.
    • Can be as easy as 3 scenes/chapters. (Setup, Discovery, Payoff.) 
  • New material. / Not currently published anywhere.
  • Can be characters from a currently published series.
  • Can be new characters that only appear in the anthology. 
  • Can be different characters with each submission.
  • Author has creative freedom with tropes and mystery elements.
  • The listed theme needs to be the main idea of the story, but how it is executed is up to the author. 
• Genre:
  • Cozy Mystery (Paranormal & Non-Paranormal)
  • Must be clean. (i.e. – no foul language, or on-screen violence/sex.)

Terms:

• Acceptance:
  • Acceptance into anthology will be decided by Sabetha Danes & an avid cozy reader on the admin team. (Who will also be proofreading the entire anthology.)
  • Only the quality of writing / mystery will have weight on acceptance. (Your audience side will have zero weight on acceptance.)
  • Once accepted, the author will receive an email containing a contract, & a Google Form. This will allow the author to list out social media, and pay the Anthology fee of $30. (This is NOT pay to play, keep reading.)
  • The anthology will be published to Amazon only under the series name “A Cozy Mystery Tribe Anthology” & will stay published indefinitely. 
• Rights:
  • We ask for exclusive electronic rights, worldwide print rights for 30-days and non-exclusive rights thereafter.
    • After 30-days of exclusivity, the author will be able to publish their story in Kindle Unlimited.
• Placement:
  • A week before publication a sharable Youtube video will be posted where authors & readers will discover the story reading order within the anthology by random drawing.
• Pricing:
  • Ebook Pricing: $0.99
  • Paperback pricing: $9.99
• Marketing:
  • Authors are required to promote to their newsletter & social media once during the 14-day launch window. 
    • They must be able to providing links to organizer on request.
    • They will tag Cozy Mystery Tribe where applicable.
  • 6 – 8 Newsletter promotion sites to be scheduled during 14-day launch window. With potential for Facebook ads to be run.
• Payout:
  • Author must be a member of Draft 2 Digital.
  • Payout will be split equally between all contributors.
