What special knowledge or research was required to write this book?
Learning about the different animals throughout the series has been one of my favorite aspects. Each novel I get to learn more about the native wildlife and I hope that passion shows through in the final novel.
Which of the side characters would you love to explore more, or turn into a main character in another series?
It changes from book to book. I don’t have plans for a spinoff, but I try to layer in townsfolk each novel that can grow with the series and get their own time in the spotlight. I love series where characters are constantly introduced and you never know which ones will go on to become major contributors to the larger story. Hopefully I’m able to pull off that same level of excitement and intrigue with the new secondary characters I introduce with every book.
Is there a playlist you listened to while writing?
Not sure if it counts as a playlist, but I’m a fan of ambience music on YouTube; this is one I listen to often “Cozy Tavern on a Rainy Day – Ambience for Writing, Study, Relax”
