I would highly recommend this series to anyone!
This was such a great start to a new series. I was hooked from page one all the way through to the last sentence. He has this wonderful ability to draw you into his worlds, and make his characters feel like you know them personally. The story is full of twists and turns that you didn’t see coming. I didn’t want to stop reading it once I got started.
Ren is our MC and he was orphaned at the age of two when his mother died moments after bringing him to the Pearl Nation. We follow him as a 16 year old boy trying to figure out his magic.
Along the way we are introduced to several characters who are meant to help in his journey to becoming a sorcerer.

Ren’s tale drew me in from the first sentence. I love the use of prologues. The characters are well thought out and the action is not forced. Emotions are spot on for everyone in each scenario. It’s a wonderful coming of age tale about a boy sorcerer. The intricacies of who is in his life and how they have taught him and why makes the story engaging and fast paced. I’m so excited to read more of this series!
